About The Role
Reflex is growing fast, and we’re looking for a People Ops leader to build out the compliance and HR function to support us in our mission to build the best way to work in retail.
In this role you will play an important role in scaling our business by supporting both our internal corporate HR needs while ensuring compliance and a positive experience for all of our workers (we call them Reflexers) as they work in retail stores across the US. As we continue to grow and incorporate new markets, you will be responsible for understanding compliance in all markets and ensuring our workers are properly onboarded, managed, and, when necessary, offboarded.
Our workers are the heart of all we do at Reflexers and we are looking for a versatile HR professional to support them as they grow with us.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing and implementing processes that help scale the Reflexer side of the business as we scale to increasingly complex compliance geographies, this includes

What you should have
- 7+ years experience in People Ops as an HR Generalist or a similar role
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to make timely, effective, principles-based decisions
- A self-starter who is organized, has high attention to detail and is familiar with a fast-paced startup environment. Ability to work independently and operate in ambiguity.
- A passion for reinventing retail - a plus if you’ve worked in retail
- Paralegal experience is a plus!
