About This Role
We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Test Automation Engineer to join our Austin based team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing testing solutions and implementing maintainable and extensible test frameworks. This role will be responsible for all aspects of feature and releases testing to ensure platform quality, performance and robustness. This role is initially for a 4 month contract with the option to convert to full time.
What You Will Do:
- Create a comprehensive test plan for manual and automated testing of existing functionality
- Continuous management of test plan for new features
- Introduce and integrate an automated test framework for web and mobile
- Implementation and execution of manual functional tests for mobile and web
- Design, develop, and execute performance test cases and scripts for load and scalability requirements
- Perform stress, load, regression, and performance testing to validate the production readiness of releases
- Participate in release preparation and verification
- Work with other engineers, product manager and key stakeholders to ensure coverage for each software release.
- As needed, perform web, API, UI, functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, load, performance, and end-to-end testing`
- Use bug-tracking systems to submit, track, and manage defects.
- Maintain software testing artifacts.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as a Lead QA Engineer
- Extensive familiarity with contemporary testing tools, methodologies, and industry standards
- Extensive experience working with automated testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, and Appium
- Solid understanding of the QA methodologies test planning, reporting, and metrics.
- Experience writing and performing stress tests of web and api applications using tools such as Blazemeter, JMeter, and Locust
- Understanding of Mobile and Web-based tech stacks using ReactNative, React, Django, and Python
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, diagnostic skills, and problem solving with attention to detail
- Critical thinking skills to analyze system requirements for ambiguities and discrepancies
- Familiarity with writing SQL statements to query and create test data
