About This Role
Reflex is seeking a highly motivated and creative Social Media Intern to join our team. This internship will provide valuable, hands-on experience in managing social media platforms, creating engaging content, and supporting our digital marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is passionate about social media trends, a skilled writer and communicator, organized, and able to contribute timely and fresh ideas to our growing company.
120 Day Internship starting mid-to-late August, with option for renewal per manager’s discretion.
Location: Hybrid with ability to be in office in downtown Austin required
Hours: 10-15 hours per week
Pay: $15/hr
What You Will Do:
- Content Creation: Develop creative and engaging content for Reflex’s social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc.) that aligns with our brand voice and image.
- Social Calendar Management: Maintain and update the social content calendar to ensure a consistent posting schedule. Coordinate with team members to align social media content with marketing campaigns and brand updates.
- Community Engagement: Monitor and engage with our social media audience through meaningful interactions, responding to comments, and fostering a sense of community around our brand.
- Research and Trends: Stay informed about social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms. Share insights with the team to help refine our social media strategy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and design teams to ensure social media content is cohesive with overall marketing initiatives and brand guidelines.
- Photoshoot Coordination: Coordinate photoshoots with real Reflexers to create authentic and compelling content for our social media channels. This involves scheduling, communication, and ensuring that all logistics are handled smoothly.
- Influencer Outreach And Partnership Management: Identify and engage with influencers in our available markets. Assist in outreach, building relationships, negotiating partnerships, and coordinating content collaborations to expand our reach to new potential users.
What You Should Have:
- Current enrollment in or recent graduate of a Bachelor’s program in Marketing, Fashion Merchandise, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Retail experience is a plus
- Proficiency in graphic design using tools like Canva, Figma, or similar platforms.
- Passion and strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
